Bitter Shutdown

Bitter is the new summer

You wear the frown well

Have you been on your knees enough?

Your tongue stabs people in the heart

Didn’t notice the blood spatter on the floor

Sun shines despite your fists to the sky

Hope your lies keep you twisted up at night

Redemption starts with sorry

No one can give you solace only God

Speak in riddles and keep hoping

Someone will listen to arrogance

No one will be here tomorrow for you

Bitter is the new summer

Paint the walls of your bedroom blue

People are outside celebrating warmth

Stop spitting venom in their direction

Hopefully your pain gets cut out

before

The Fall
